1. Scope and our privacy approach
This policy applies to PilotFlight Watch and its universal iPhone/iPad subscription companion under Apple ID 6799999269. Purchase, restore, management, guidance, support and legal links are available on iPhone and iPad; actual paired/installed/reachable Watch status and pairing setup remain on the paired iPhone. The companion contains no aviation utility. The separate standalone PilotFlight iPad aviation app (Apple ID 6799762166) has different In-App Purchases and does not share this subscription or entitlement.
PilotFlight does not require a developer-operated account or sign-in. The developer does not operate a user-profile, flight-history or health database for these apps. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or track you across apps or websites.
2. Information kept on your device
Depending on the features you use, PilotFlight may keep the following information in the app’s local container or an Apple App Group container used by its watch complications:
- saved routes, offline-map coverage, favorite airports, aircraft profiles and personal minimums;
- settings, unit preferences and values entered into Watch pilot tools;
- flight records, breadcrumb tracks and location-tagged cockpit notes;
- verified StoreKit subscription-entitlement state used to enforce access across supported devices; and
- local identifiers used to prevent a Watch alert from repeating for the same eligible reading.
This information is not sent to the developer. Apple-controlled device backups may include app data according to your Apple and device settings.
3. Location and aviation-data requests
Location on the device
If you grant location access on Apple Watch, PilotFlight Watch can use Apple location services to show your live position and derive track, groundspeed, altitude, distance, estimated time en route, cross-track deviation, Direct-To or route guidance, and nearby-airport results. It can also record a local breadcrumb track during a flight session. PilotFlight Watch uses background location only for an active or explicitly armed flight session, subject to watchOS controls, and stops that use when the session ends or is disarmed.
AviationWeather.gov
When you request airport, METAR, TAF, SIGMET, AirSIGMET or PIREP information, the selected four-letter ICAO airport identifier is sent directly from your device to the public AviationWeather.gov service. When you request nearest airports, a geographic bounding box derived from the current precise position is sent because the service needs that search area to return nearby results.
No PilotFlight account identifier accompanies these requests because no PilotFlight account exists. Like any internet service, AviationWeather.gov may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address, request time and app user-agent. AviationWeather.gov handles that information under its own policies. The developer does not receive or store your ICAO searches, geographic bounding boxes or resulting location history.
Optional offline map packages
The Watch app includes a worldwide overview and offers three fixed supplemental packages. Terrain HD is 31,379,456 bytes and is attributed exactly as “Natural Earth · Public domain”; see the Natural Earth source. Visual HD is 625,291,264 bytes and is attributed exactly as “NASA Earth Observatory · Blue Marble: Next Generation · Contains modified NASA imagery”; it is May 2004 imagery, not live imagery. See the NASA Earth Observatory Blue Marble source. Atlas Pro is 3,732,973,284 bytes and is attributed exactly as “© OpenStreetMap contributors · Protomaps 20260814”. PilotFlight requests only the selected fixed AkıncıJet filename, verifies its byte count, SHA-256 and format before installation, and lets you download or delete Terrain HD, Visual HD and Atlas Pro independently. A shared 8 GiB offline-map quota and 512 MiB free-space reserve apply. The app checks available disk capacity on device under required-reason API category E174.1; it does not upload the disk-capacity value.
The fixed package request contains no route, saved-area bounds, location coordinates, PilotFlight account identifier, Apple Health data or disk-capacity value. The akincijet.com web server records temporary delivery and security logs that may contain the IP address, request timestamp, requested path or filename, HTTP status and user-agent; a package filename reveals which package was selected. These logs are used for content delivery, service security and operational diagnostics—not to create a flight or location history, for advertising or for cross-app tracking. The host rotates them into daily archives; current host evidence shows at least five daily archive generations. Raw IP addresses are not de-identified before this temporary retention.
4. Apple Health — PilotFlight Watch only
The PilotFlight iPhone companion does not access Apple Health. This section applies only to PilotFlight Watch.
With separate, explicit Apple Health permission, PilotFlight Watch can read the authorized recent samples available for heart rate, resting heart rate, blood oxygen, heart-rate variability, sleep and sleep stages, respiratory rate, and wrist temperature to display an optional informational wellness summary. The app does not write these values back to HealthKit.
Optional low-blood-oxygen awareness alert
This feature is off by default. Its preset threshold is 94%, and the pilot can choose a threshold from 80% to 99%. If enabled, the app evaluates only an existing sample recorded by a supported Apple Watch within the preceding five minutes. Samples that HealthKit marks as manually entered are excluded.
PilotFlight Watch does not start a blood-oxygen measurement, continuously sample or monitor oxygen, measure cabin pressure, diagnose hypoxia, provide emergency monitoring, or determine fitness to fly.
Each new eligible reading below the selected threshold can produce at most one delivery: one two-second sound-and-haptic cue while the app is active, or one privacy-safe local notification if watchOS delivers it in the background—never both for the same reading. A local identifier prevents that reading from replaying after a screen change or relaunch. Background delivery is not guaranteed and depends on supported hardware, regional availability, permissions, notification and Focus settings, watchOS scheduling, and app lifecycle.
Apple Health readings and the locally stored threshold, toggle and de-duplication identifier remain on the device. They are not sent to the developer and are never used for advertising, marketing, analytics, sale or data brokerage.
5. Notifications and alerts
PilotFlight Watch may create local flight or wellness notifications only for features you enable. These are scheduled and delivered by watchOS; the iPhone companion does not schedule flight or wellness notifications. PilotFlight does not operate a remote push-notification server. You control notification permission, sounds, Silent Mode and Focus through Apple system settings.
6. Subscriptions and entitlement
PilotFlight is free to download, but every Watch feature requires an active auto-renewable subscription. Eligible new or returning subscribers who have not used an introductory offer in the group can start Monthly or Annual with a 3-day free trial. It begins immediately without charge and renews to the selected localized standard plan unless canceled. One introductory offer is available per group. There is no separate guest, demo or permanently free Watch tier.
Purchase, Restore Purchases and subscription management are available in the iPhone/iPad companion. A paired iPhone relays only a strict verified StoreKit latest-state entitlement envelope to Watch through WCSession; it includes source/sequence, product and exact expiration and contains no payment-card data. iPad has no WCSession relay and does not report Watch pairing, installation or reachability. If Watch remains locked after an iPad purchase, the visible Retry Subscription Check action performs one user-initiated App Store sync on Watch. Apple processes payments, Apple Account information, renewals, cancellations and refunds. The developer receives no complete payment-card details. See the PilotFlight Support page.
7. Analytics, advertising and tracking
The current PilotFlight apps contain no third-party advertising, cross-app tracking or third-party analytics SDK. We do not create advertising profiles or use Apple Health information, precise location, search history, flight activity or Watch tool entries for marketing.
Apple may provide developers with aggregated App Store sales information or diagnostics that users choose to share through Apple’s platform settings. Apple controls that processing under its policies; PilotFlight does not combine it with a PilotFlight account or profile.
8. Retention and deletion
Because PilotFlight does not operate an account database, the developer has no account record, flight history or Apple Health record to delete. Local information, including saved offline coverage and any installed Terrain HD, Visual HD or Atlas Pro package, remains until you remove it or delete the app, subject to Apple platform behavior and backups you control. Each package has an independent in-app delete control. AviationWeather.gov data follows that provider’s practices. AkıncıJet delivery/security logs follow the daily archive rotation described above and may span multiple days; current host evidence shows at least five daily archive generations.

9. Security, children and policy changes
PilotFlight uses Apple’s app sandbox, platform permissions and HTTPS for supported network requests. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so you should avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in cockpit notes or support messages.
PilotFlight is a professional aviation utility and is not directed to children. Apple Health and Blood Oxygen availability remain subject to Apple’s age, device and regional restrictions.
We may update this policy when product behavior, providers or legal requirements change. Material revisions will appear at this URL with a new effective date.
10. Safety boundary
PilotFlight is a supplemental planning and situational-awareness aid. Offline map packages are not primary-navigation sources, aviation charts, terrain-avoidance systems or live-data products. PilotFlight is not a certified navigation or primary flight instrument, approved weather or NOTAM briefing source, medical monitor, emergency service or guaranteed background-alert system. Always verify information with approved aircraft documents, current official sources, applicable aviation procedures and pilot judgment.
